About The Position

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Per Diem Night position, requiring 2 shifts per week. As a professional nurse, the RN assumes accountability and responsibility for providing "Patient Centered Care" for an assigned group of patients. This includes planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care with a holistic view, encompassing physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and functional status. The role involves systematic assessment to develop a comprehensive Standard of Care, individualizing care based on ongoing assessment and reassessment to meet changing patient needs. The RN ensures accurate documentation, adequate supplies, and operational knowledge of equipment. Additionally, the RN acts as an educator to peers, patients, and families, supporting service excellence and a healing environment. All aspects of performance align with the organization's commitment to providing world-class healthcare.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
  • Two years of Med / Surg experience
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Responsibilities

  • Assume accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing “Patient Centered Care” for an assigned group of patients.
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care while providing a holistic view, which may include dimensions of physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and functional status.
  • Perform orderly collection of information to develop a comprehensive Standard of Care to meet identified patient care outcomes and evaluate effectiveness of a nursing plan of care.
  • Administer nursing care in accordance with established nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct initial assessments to provide a baseline for future comparisons to individualize care.
  • Perform ongoing assessment and reassessment to meet the patient’s changing needs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, adequate supplies, and knowledge in operation of equipment.
  • Act as an educator to their peers, patients, and their families.
  • Support service excellence and a healing environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
