About The Position

This is a Medical Surgical (MS) Stroke Stepdown position. The unit has 64 beds and serves adult patients. Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation, general medical-surgical conditions, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues. The specialty equipment used includes IV pumps and N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. Floating to other units may be required.

Requirements

• Up to date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in MS with stroke stepdown experience.
• Documents travel experience.
• Skills Checklist matching specialty.
• Drivers licenses with address that matches demographics.
• Current AHA BLS.
• NIHSS (can be obtained prior to start).

Nice To Haves

• Travel experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients on the MS Stroke Stepdown unit.
• Float to other units as required.
