Requirements

  • Education level necessary to obtainrequired licensure and certifications.
  • one (1) - three (3) years of previous acute care experience required or hired through the Versant RN Residency Program
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing , upon hire
  • Previous critical care experience preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
  • Advanced Burn Life Support, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessment/reassessment, including giving or receiving comprehensive change of shift and intermittent report, obtaining the nursing history, conducting a physical assessment, establishing priorities for care.
  • Assess patient's learning needs, readiness for discharge and ability of the patient/family/SO to manage illness after discharge.
  • Completes both computer and hand written documentation using correct format in an accurate, precise, timely, legible and complete manner .
  • Provide direct patient care, as required.
  • Assist physician with procedures, as necessary.
  • Report changes in patient's condition to physician.
