Requirements
- Education level necessary to obtainrequired licensure and certifications.
- one (1) - three (3) years of previous acute care experience required or hired through the Versant RN Residency Program
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing , upon hire
- Previous critical care experience preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
- Advanced Burn Life Support, upon hire
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessment/reassessment, including giving or receiving comprehensive change of shift and intermittent report, obtaining the nursing history, conducting a physical assessment, establishing priorities for care.
- Assess patient's learning needs, readiness for discharge and ability of the patient/family/SO to manage illness after discharge.
- Completes both computer and hand written documentation using correct format in an accurate, precise, timely, legible and complete manner .
- Provide direct patient care, as required.
- Assist physician with procedures, as necessary.
- Report changes in patient's condition to physician.
