RN - Medical ICU - Nights
About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) on the night shift. This is a full-time position requiring 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, including rotating weekends. The role involves providing direct nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, maintaining regulatory compliance, and guiding unlicensed nursing personnel. Endeavor Health is a large, integrated healthcare system dedicated to providing quality, community-connected care across six northeast Illinois counties, with numerous ambulatory locations and eight Magnet-recognized acute care hospitals.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree preferred
- Minimum 1-year current hospital nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to all patient populations in the department
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice
- Assume responsibility, accountability and authority for outcomes of nursing care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
