We are currently looking for an experienced RN to join our exceptional team in the Medical ICU (MICU) - The MICU is an 18 bed adult critical care unit located at Blake 7. Nurses on the MICU care for a variety of complex respiratory and medical patients. Notable diagnosis includes but not limited to sepsis, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, heme-oncology, cardiac, neurology, and infectious diseases such as H1N1(2005), suspect Ebola virus (2014) and the novel Corona Virus (2020). The MICU culture can be best described for its teamwork and collaborative approach to care, embracing patient-centered care, and promoting staff professional development, and excellence in nursing. The MICU is the first and the only critical care unit at MGH to receive the Beacon Award for Excellence awarded by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) on 2021. Nurses in the MICU also seeks voluntary membership to the hospital’s Biothreats Response Team and to the MGH Global Disaster Relief team.
