The Registered Nurses serving on the specialized Medical Emergency Teams—Adult Medical Emergency Team (AMET), Cardiac Medical Emergency Team (CMET), Neuro Medical Emergency Team (NMET), and Sepsis Emergency Response Team (SERT)—provide rapid, high-acuity critical care response across inpatient and outpatient settings for patients, employees, and visitors. These expert teams are focused on the early identification and intervention of clinical deterioration, playing a pivotal role in preventing cardiac and respiratory arrest through timely, evidence-based care. In addition to delivering advanced emergency response services, these nurses lead interdisciplinary education and simulation training initiatives that strengthen organizational readiness and emergency preparedness. As highly skilled clinical experts, they partner closely with bedside nurses and provider teams to deliver comprehensive patient assessment, real-time clinical decision support, and advanced care coordination during high-risk situations.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience (will consider military RN experience)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
