About The Position

Join the Med/Surg Overflow Unit on the 9th Floor at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, where you will be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. This unit offers a dynamic clinical setting with a broad patient population, providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen core medical-surgical skills and gain valuable experience across a wide range of patient populations including some trauma overflow. In this role, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice, including comprehensive assessment, care planning, implementation of individualized plans of care, and evaluation of patient progress toward expected outcomes. You will take primary responsibility for coordinating patient care as delivered by the interdisciplinary care team under your supervision and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes. Requirements

  • One (1) year of RN experience
  • Current CA Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • One (1) year of Medical Surgical RN acute care experience
