About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Plano is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for Nights to join their Med Tele unit. This role involves working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit is a 32-bed facility that serves an adult-geriatric patient population and is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a leader in sepsis care, and is committed to a culture of teamwork and excellent patient experience. The RN will utilize the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care, employing the nursing process to assess patients, identify diagnoses, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses. The role emphasizes promoting safe patient transitions, delegating appropriately according to the Texas Nursing Practice Act, and ensuring patient safety without preventable complications or delays. This position is ideal for an RN looking to increase their knowledge base in a dynamic learning environment that fosters mentoring and support, within a state-of-the-art facility.

Requirements

  • Min of 2 years of hospital RN experience
  • Grad of an Accredited Program
  • Specialized field of study should be nursing.
  • RN license.
  • Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.

  • General computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.

Responsibilities

  • Using clinical reasoning, conducts accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards.
