The 6th Floor Acute Care Unit is a dynamic, 36-bed Magnet®-designated unit specializing in trauma and oncology care, treating patients with blunt abdominal, chest, and orthopedic injuries, as well as oncology patients requiring chemotherapy and management of neutropenic conditions. The unit's mission is to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment, fostering a culture of positivity through recognition, team-building, and professional development. As a designated education unit, it supports student nurse education and mentorship. The unit seeks passionate, positive, resilient individuals with effective communication skills and accountability to high standards of care.
