About The Position

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center that provides a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region. The hospital features a state-of-the-art medical campus and is home to Flight For Life® Colorado. It is equipped with four trauma rooms, including the T-10 room, which has a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, enabling them to provide life-saving care to severely ill and injured patients. The hospital has received Magnet designation and numerous awards and certifications from organizations such as the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, The Joint Commission, Emergency Nurses Association, NAPBC, and American College of Radiology. St. Anthony Hospital combines a heritage of expert care with the latest in technology and innovation, offering opportunities to work in trauma, cardiology, stroke, neurosciences, breast imaging, cancer/oncology care, and surgery. The 6th Floor Acute Care Unit is a dynamic, 36-bed Magnet®-designated unit specializing in trauma and oncology care, treating patients with blunt abdominal, chest, and orthopedic injuries, as well as oncology patients requiring chemotherapy and management of neutropenic conditions. The unit's mission is to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment, fostering a culture of positivity through recognition, team-building, and professional development. As a designated education unit, it supports student nurse education and mentorship. The unit seeks passionate, positive, resilient individuals with effective communication skills and accountability to high standards of care.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
• One year experience preferred
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Responsibilities

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Benefits

• $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience
• Relocation assistance up to $10,000 for those living greater than 50 miles from the facility
• $5.75/hr night shift differential from 11pm to 7am
