About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the SK3 Med/Surg unit at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, Massachusetts. SK3 is a 21-bed surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for patients undergoing bariatric, orthopedic, general, gynecological, and plastic surgery. The unit uses a multidisciplinary approach and provides telemetry monitoring. The role is scheduled for 36 hours on a day/evening shift, 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. Off-shift rotation may be required as needed. Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee, the RN coordinates total nursing care, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient-team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards. The RN must have the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age groups regularly served. The pay rate is based on experience, with a listed range of $40.35 to $71.76 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
- Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for and sign a statement electing exemption for medical or personal reasons after hire.

- Over three months up to and including one year of experience is preferred.
