Requirements

Current and valid state RN License.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

Previous Acute Care hospital experience.
Ventilator Management experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients admitted with non-surgical (medical) and surgical conditions.
Communicate with physician about changes in patients’ clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
Administer medical treatments and examinations.
Develop, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and manage nursing care.
Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical unit.
Promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness.
Serve as health educators for patients, families, and communities.
