About The Position
The RN in the Med Surg/Ortho department will provide care for patients undergoing orthopedic surgeries, such as knee, hip, ankle, shoulder replacements, and spinal procedures. The nurse will work in a team-oriented environment and is expected to be flexible and take ownership within the department.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse License
- BLS Certification
- Driver's license required for adherence to radius rule
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care following surgery with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.
- Collaborate with other staff such as nurse aids and tele techs to ensure quality care and efficient operations.
- Participate in self-scheduling with cyclic rotation and meet weekend and holiday requirements.
