About The Position

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center that provides a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region. The hospital boasts a state-of-the-art medical campus and is home to Flight For Life® Colorado. It features four trauma rooms, including the T-10 room, which is a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, enabling life-saving care for severely ill and injured patients. The hospital achieved Magnet designation in 2023, a recognition awarded to only 10 percent of hospitals globally. The 5th Floor Medical Surgical department is a 36-bed unit specializing in neuro, trauma, and ortho care, serving as the main service line for patients requiring Level 1 Trauma Center services. Patients are typically 16 years and above, with occasional overflow of general med/surg patients. The department fosters a strong culture of teamwork, high-quality, safe patient care, and positive patient interactions. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, open communication skills, and a strong work ethic. This unit is considered a great starting point for those interested in Critical Care.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team, patient, and family to identify and meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. You will promote optimal health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. You will also demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

• At least six months of direct RN experience
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
• One year experience preferred
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

Benefits

• $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience (for full-time or part-time positions, PRN excluded; some exclusions apply)
