About The Position
Provide care in a 30-bed Med Surg unit with responsibilities including maintaining patient ratios of 1:6. The position requires working in collaboration with clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, PCTs, and case management staff. Use of Meditech documentation system is required.
Requirements
- RN license
- Teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills
- Medical-Surgical experience, including handling respiratory diseases, renal diseases, and GI illnesses
- Proficiency with equipment like walkers, IV pumps, and SCDs
- Experience with procedures using CVCs, indwelling catheters, and heparin gtts
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care in compliance with unit policies
- Utilize communication boards to enhance patient experience
- Float to other units as per rotation schedule
