About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med Surg unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients. RNs will collaborate with CNAs and virtual nurses to manage a 1:6/7 patient-to-nurse ratio and ensure optimal care outcomes.
Requirements
- BLS Certification
- Pass a skills exam with 90% or above during orientation
- Adherence to a 50-mile radius rule for residency
- Compliance with fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and established policies.
- Collaborate with a CNA and virtual nurse to manage patient care effectively.
- Monitor patient telemetry and adjust care plans as needed.
