About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Akron, OH on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical support. The ideal candidate is experienced in MS/Tele nursing, adaptable in diverse clinical environments, and committed to patient-centered care.

Requirements

Current and valid RN license in Ohio (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent MS/Tele nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MS/Tele unit.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered by the healthcare team.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Follow infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices.
