About The Position

ATC Healthcare is seeking a dependable and experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona. This is a float pool position, requiring the RN to provide high-quality patient care across multiple hospital locations within the network. The RN will deliver comprehensive care to medical-surgical telemetry patients, demonstrating clinical expertise, sound judgment, and adaptability in diverse care settings. The role involves continuous cardiac monitoring, managing complex patient needs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

Requirements

  • Active Arizona RN license or Compact State license (required).
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience (required).
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS (required).
  • Strong proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
  • Ability to function independently while adapting to various unit environments.
  • Must be willing to float between facilities within the hospital network.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cerner EMR (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide total nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, following hospital policies and nursing standards of care.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and take immediate, appropriate action.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Assess patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to the care team and providers.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the Cerner EMR system.
  • Educate patients and families about disease processes, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • Float between assigned facilities as needed, providing flexibility and consistent quality care.
  • Maintain patient safety and infection control standards across all assigned units.
