About The Position

The Moran 3 unit is a 20-bed, ICU step-down unit, providing intermediate care that specializes primarily in pulmonary care and chronic pulmonary diseases. It also includes a fast-paced 10-bed observation unit that specializes in cardiac and neurological rule-out patients. The unit cares for patients with multiple comorbidities including DKA, vented/chronic trach patients, a-fib, COPD, and stroke patients. The team is a tight-knit group that primarily focuses on teamwork to care for its patient population.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

Three (3) months experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients.
Participate in patient and family teaching.
Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit.
Provide care that is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
