About The Position

The RN Med Surg Supervisor oversees healthcare professionals and department operations in a fast-paced, high-volume adult medical-surgical telemetry environment. The role supports high patient care standards, maintains a safe environment, and develops nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities include overseeing operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities. The supervisor works primarily days, with some evening and weekend shifts. Charge shifts are typically 6:45–19:15, while administrative or office hours are typically 0800–1630. Hours may be flexible to support night-shift team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical RN experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of charge RN experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Strong understanding of nursing standards and patient care procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and expertise in creating and assessing patient care plans.
• Familiarity with basic computer operations and medical and office software applications.

Nice To Haves

• RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Specialty certification.
