About The Position
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions, surgical procedures, and chronic illnesses. The Med-Surg RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

- HIPAA compliant
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
Nice To Haves
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to nursing standards and hospital policies
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments as prescribed
- Perform wound care, catheter care, and post-operative monitoring
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, physical therapy, and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Serve as a patient advocate and provide emotional support to patients and families
