Job Summary The Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care for individual clients with well defined nursing diagnoses. The Staff Nurse communicates with and on behalf of the client and coordinates client care with all health team members. The Staff Nurse organizes those aspects of nursing care for which s/he is accountable in a specified work period. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota.
  • One year Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS - required, ACLS - preferred but not required, NRP - Must obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
  • Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months.
  • Cross training is required.
