About The Position

This is a Full-Time (72 hours per pay period, every 2 weeks) position on a 12-hour NIGHT shift schedule working variable days of the week including weekends and holidays. Position floats between Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. This position covers both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum. We invite you to join our highly engaged team of Float Pool nurses for Maternal Child Health. As a Registered Nurse for the Maternal Child Health Float Pool team, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. In addition… · Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. · The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. · Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery AND Post-Partum
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
  • Current CA RN License
  • Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association
  • Current Advanced NRP (AAP-Issued 7th or 8th edition)
  • Current Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring from AWHONN or NCC
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • EPIC experience.
  • RNC-OB.

Responsibilities
