About The Position

We are seeking an experienced RN Manager – Mother Baby to lead the daily operations of a Mother Baby unit within an acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing unit operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient departmental performance. The Manager will collaborate with leadership to support policy development, operational strategies, and staff leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in postpartum and Mother/Baby nursing leadership, with the ability to guide an experienced and tenured clinical team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (required)
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
Must hold a Georgia RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license
BLS certification (required)
ACLS certification (required)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required; must obtain within 60 months if not currently certified)
Minimum 3+ years of recent RN experience in Women’s Services within an acute care setting (required)
Minimum 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience (required)
Strong experience in: Mother/Baby care, Postpartum nursing, Women’s Services leadership

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Mother Baby unit
Ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery
Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization
Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
Supervise and support: Registered Nurses (RNs), Unit Secretaries, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements
Lead quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
