About The Position

Providence Portland Medical Center is launching a new Medical Surgical unit, and we are seeking an experienced nursing leader who is excited by the opportunity to build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team from the ground up. As the leader of this new Med/Surg unit, you will play a critical role in recruiting, developing, and supporting a rapidly growing team while ensuring exceptional patient outcomes, caregiver engagement, and operational performance. This Monday-Friday day shift position offers the opportunity to lead unit operations, staffing, and team development while working 8+ hours per day in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. We are looking for candidates who bring strong Medical Surgical nursing experience along with two or more years of leadership experience at the RN Charge Nurse level or higher. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 5 years of Nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of RN work experience in a Medical/Surgical Unit.
• 2+ years of RN Charge or higher level leadership work experience.
• Coursework/Training and Formal coursework in Management, Finance, and other administrative subjects.
• National Certification from recognized professional organization in relevant field of clinical expertise.
• Management experience.
