About The Position
The Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is a 19-bed, high-acuity intensive care unit caring for critically ill trauma and complex surgical patients. Located within the region's only Level I Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin, the STICU provides advanced critical care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary team using leading-edge technology and evidence-based practices. As an AACN Silver Beacon Award-winning unit, the STICU is committed to nursing excellence, professional development, and exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced, academically focused environment. As Nursing Manager, level 2 RN, you shape a positive team environment, ensure high-quality nursing practices, teamwork, and patient safety. You create plans, implement policies, manage resources, oversee finances, and manage quality improvement efforts. Arrange educational programs to meet goals and act as caregiver when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of three years' professional experience is required for this role.
- RN licensed.
- Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days on the job.
