About The Position

Freeman Health System's main operating room has nine surgical suites and offers a variety of specialties including gynecology, ear, nose and throat, orthopedics, cosmetic and neurosurgery. In this fast-paced procedural area, the staff uses their experience, knowledge, and skills to work as a team to take patient care to the next level of patient safety and satisfaction. We offer an in-depth individualized orientation process to prepare employees for success in the perioperative setting.

Requirements

  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or Current Registered Nurse License from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
  • AHA ACLS Within 180 Days
  • AHA BLS For Healthcare Providers Within 30 Days
  • Perioperative RN Competency Day Annually By Transcript Due Date.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.
