About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center in Prince Frederick, MD is hiring RNs & LPNs for all shifts (Day, Evening, and Overnight). We are seeking compassionate and dependable nurses to join our team. Experience in behavioral health, detox, med-surg, corrections, or LTC is welcomed, as is a desire for more meaningful patient care. At Avenues, nurses are crucial in assisting individuals in starting their recovery journey within a safe, supportive, and highly structured medical environment.
Requirements
- Current RN or LPN licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, efficient worker with ability to multitask
- Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
Nice To Haves
- Experienced in behavioral health, detox, med-surg, corrections, LTC
Responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment and discharge
- Coordinate all pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep clear med logs
- Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure total coordination of care
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking and reporting for each client
- Provide patient education in individual and group settings
