About The Position
Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital. We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. As a RN/LPN your patient to nursing staff ratio is three times lower than the average nursing home.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a LPN or RN with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Current CPR Card Certification
- Must be able to attend and have reliable transportation to and from HealthPartners' Nursing Orientation in Bloomington on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am-430pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients by providing ADLs, accessing physical and mental status of patient to determine efficacy of treatment and care plan, administer medication complete all documentation, etc.
- Prepare room preparation and room discharge of patients
- Answer call lights and provide follow-up to ensure needs are met.
- Answer questions from patients and families or direct them to the appropriate person.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
