About The Position

The Carriages of Bloomington is growing its TEAM and is looking for exceptional individuals to fill its PRN Dayshift RN/LPN position (7a-7p/6a-6p). This position includes weekends and various weekdays. The organization takes pride in providing its Residents with quality care, sensitivity, and kindness while respecting their independence. The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with professional nursing practice. The role involves leading licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. Experience working with Memory Care is required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as licensed nurse.
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with assisted living procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Knowledge of Point Click Care.
• Good Physical condition and stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.
• Working with Memory Care is a must.

Responsibilities

• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, etc.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
