About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center on the Eastern Shore is seeking compassionate and dependable Nurses (RN/LPN) to join their team in Cambridge, MD. Nurses play a vital role in helping individuals begin recovery in a safe, supportive, and highly structured medical environment. The facility is a 100-bed residential facility offering drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services.

Requirements

• Minimum one year diploma program post - high school
• Current RN or LPN licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, efficient worker with ability to multitask
• Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles

Nice To Haves

• Experienced in behavioral health, detox, med-surg, corrections, LTC

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment and discharge
• Coordinate all pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep clear med logs
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure total coordination of care
• Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking and reporting for each client
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings
