About The Position

The RN/LPN is responsible for providing care to clients, which includes administering medication, taking vital signs, and assessing medical needs. This role involves direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the medical team.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted licensure in TN (as required by facility)
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
• Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion
• Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment

Responsibilities

• Administering medication and treatments as per provider protocol
• Taking and recording daily client vital signs and assessments
• Assisting with client admissions and discharges
• Recording client observations and reporting to the medical team
• Interacting with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment
• Maintaining a safe and sanitary environment
• Attending staff trainings and meetings
• Communicating with the pharmacy
• Completing client nursing admissions, including intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, and GeneSight swabbing
• Protecting client information in accordance with alcohol-drug client confidentiality and HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned
