Nightshift RN/LPN
About The Position
The Carriages of Bloomington is growing its TEAM and is looking for exceptional individuals to fill its Night RN/LPN position (6p-6a). The organization takes pride in providing its Residents with quality care, sensitivity, and kindness while respecting their independence. The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with professional nursing practices. The role involves leading licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. Experience working with Memory Care is required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as licensed nurse.
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with assisted living procedures.
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
- Knowledge of Point Click Care.
- Good Physical condition and stamina.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and able to handle stress.
Responsibilities
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.
- Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, etc.
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
