About The Position

Miller's Health Systems is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a weekend option position. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the nursing care of patients during your shift, following their Comprehensive Care Plan and assisting the Unit Manager with documentation. You will also supervise direct resident care personnel. This role offers opportunities for growth and variety within a 100% employee-owned company that has been serving Indiana families since 1964.

Requirements

• Licensed nurse in the State of Indiana
• Currently licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Indiana.
• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening.
• Pass the physical examination given in behalf of gainful employment within the facility.
• Professional manner and appearance.
• Nursing policies and procedures.
• Administration of medication, possible side effects, treatment administration, local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices.
• Physical, psychological, social and medical needs of residents.
• Organizational structure and duties of employees under supervision of unit manager.
• Competent in supervision and leadership.
• Caring attitude.
• Observant.
• Foster and maintain a good working relationship with other staff.
• Good judgement and emotional stability.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift.
• Follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for your patients.
• Assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record when needed.
• Supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.
