About The Position

Northeast Arc-Clinical Services is a nonprofit Medicaid/Medicare-certified home healthcare agency founded in 2003. Our mission is to serve medically fragile pediatric and adult populations in cities and towns across Bristol, Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Suffolk Counties. We specialize in providing Continuous Care Nursing for medically complex children and adults. Our nurses work 1-on-1 with patients in their homes, schools, or community settings. Our goal is to help families navigate the complexities of their loved one’s medical care, ensuring patients can stay at home and avoid hospitalization. Our cases cover a wide spectrum, from general nursing care to extremely complex ICU-level home care. Most of our patients face feeding challenges and are either G or J-tube feeding dependent. Others may have tracheostomies requiring ventilator support, seizure disorders, ostomy appliances, wound management needs, or diabetic maintenance.

Requirements

Hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
Proficiency in nursing skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Provide private duty nursing care to a 12-year-old boy with SMA, g-tube, BiPAP overnight, and respiratory treatments.
Accompany the patient to school during weekday shifts.
Provide care during weekend shifts.
Work 1-on-1 with patients in their homes, schools, or community settings.
Help families navigate medical care complexities.
Ensure patients can stay at home and avoid hospitalization.
Manage patients with feeding challenges (G or J-tube dependent).
Care for patients with tracheostomies requiring ventilator support.
Manage seizure disorders.
Provide ostomy appliance care.
Perform wound management.
Administer diabetic maintenance.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.
Maintain punctuality, reliability, and ethical standards.
Show respect for diverse backgrounds and cultural competence.
Prioritize patients' social-emotional health.
