This position performs tasks which involve specified nursing care for patients delegated by and performed under the direction of a Nursing Supervisor. The role involves conducting thorough health assessments, administering medications, delivering patient care and education, obtaining and handling specimens, adhering to infection control guidelines, assisting providers with procedures, developing and updating nursing plans, establishing therapeutic relationships, educating families and caregivers, documenting patient responses, meeting quality management goals, acquiring clinical competencies, documenting promptly and accurately, interacting with patients and families in a caring and professional manner, maintaining patient confidentiality, assisting with maintaining a safe and clean environment, recording patient charges, and utilizing hospital resources respectfully and accountably. The role also involves stocking supplies and equipment proactively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The physical requirements include light lifting, pushing, and pulling of 10-20 lbs occasionally, frequent moving of objects less than 10 lbs, frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending, and reaching.
