About The Position

Eventide-Fargo is seeking a Full-time RN/LPN Charge Nurse to work 72 hours per pay period, including every third weekend and holiday rotation. The shift hours are from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The RN/LPN Charge Nurse is responsible for providing and assuring the highest degree of nursing care, consistent with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide's philosophy, policies, and procedures. This role ensures care is delivered in a manner that promotes residents’ rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality.

Requirements

  • Current North Dakota RN License
  • Must be in good standing in all states in which you have ever been licensed as a nurse in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses residents' health status and needs through ongoing physical assessments, observation, and interviews.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates residents' plans of care, updating them as necessary. This includes interdisciplinary care plans, physician orders, and NA-R care plans.
  • Administers medications and treatments, monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents as needed, adhering to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintains accurate documentation in residents’ records.
  • Provides effective leadership to subordinate staff, which may include disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures subordinate staff complete their work responsibilities thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts.
  • Educates and supports residents and their families.
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts.
  • Communicates residents' needs to all resident care staff on the unit.
  • Interacts with physicians and other healthcare facilities as required for resident care.
  • Acts as a resource person during shifts and consults with other units or departments.
  • Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge through in-services, continuing education, and staff meetings.
  • Coordinates and participates in resident care conferences.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new team members.
  • Provides individual attention to encourage residents' highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Complies with rules and regulations set forth by the ND Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
  • May be required to carry out or assist with other tasks as needed to provide quality resident care.
