This position performs tasks which involve specified nursing care for patients delegated by and performed under the direction of a Nursing Supervisor. The role requires conducting thorough health assessments, administering medications, delivering patient care and education, obtaining and handling specimens, adhering to infection control guidelines, assisting providers with procedures, and developing/updating nursing plans. The position also involves establishing therapeutic relationships, providing patient and family education on health promotion and safety, documenting patient responses to treatments, and ensuring quality management goals are met. The role requires acquiring and maintaining clinical competencies, documenting accurately and promptly, interacting with patients and families in a caring and professional manner, maintaining patient confidentiality, and assisting with maintaining a safe and orderly clinical environment. Additionally, the position involves recording patient charges for billing, utilizing hospital resources respectfully and accountably, optimizing time efficiently, and stocking supplies and equipment proactively.
