About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN - Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Joplin, MO. This position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to LTAC patients with complex medical conditions, monitoring their status, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams. The role requires maintaining accurate EMR documentation, supporting ventilator-dependent patients, implementing care plans, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active RN License required
- Current BLS Certification required
Nice To Haves
- Acute Care or Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage high-acuity and medically complex patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to LTAC patients with complex medical conditions
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Support ventilator-dependent and high-acuity patients as required
- Implement individualized care plans and participate in discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and nursing best practices
