About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an RN Labor & Delivery for a 13-week travel/contract position in Coos Bay, OR. This role involves coordinating total nursing care for patients in the clinical setting, applying the nursing process, providing patient teaching, participating in treatment team meetings, administering medications, exhibiting critical thinking and problem-solving skills, maintaining punctual attendance, documenting patient care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience - Required
• Current Fetal Heart Monitoring experience - Required
• ASN - Required
• RN License for State of Oregon - Required (Can be obtained upon offer)
• BLS, NRP Certifications - Required (Can be obtained upon offer)

Nice To Haves

• OBIX & Epic experience – Preferred
• Travel experience – Preferred
• BSN – Preferred
• EFM and STABLE Certifications – Preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates total nursing care for patients in the clinical setting for assigned units within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, applies the nursing process to the care of patients.
• Provides teaching for patients and significant others.
• Participates in treatment team meetings and administers medication and prescribed treatments
• Exhibits critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
• Documents patient care in the medical record.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall care of the patient effectively.
