Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active RN license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Recent OB/L&D experience (within 2 years) required
- Strong communication skills in English
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Administer and monitor responses to medications
- Document patient assessments and maintain accurate nursing records
- Develop and implement patient care plans with the healthcare team
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Supervise and guide ancillary staff in patient care activities
- Function as charge nurse when assigned
- Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and hospital policies
- Maintain high standards of patient care and service excellence
