About The Position

This team is looking to add another RN to provide perinatal care, PRN Resource Status. Resource hours begin with 6 months of steady orientation hours and then once fully oriented, the hours become casual/PRN. We are pleased to be able to deliver this service line to patients in Mason County and surrounding areas. Top qualifiers for this opening will have previous bedside experience as an OB RN providing care for antepartum, labor & delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients. RN’s that are part of this well staffed team are known for their care of diverse patient populations. The team is a support system for perinatal patients being admitted for a short stay with us. Our volume of work is well balanced with this team of 16, and we average approximately 300 deliveries per year in Ludington’s Family Birthing Center. Nurse to Patient Ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:6 depending on patient acuity because we do everything from triage and antepartum, through labor and delivery, and postpartum couplet care. Each RN assigned up to 3 moms, 3 babies. Usually 2-3 RN's working per shift + 1 Tech + Manager/Hospital Supv.
