Requirements
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience
Nice To Haves
- Hospice, Home Health, Oncology, ICU, Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, or Palliative Care experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to compassionate, patient- and family-centered care
Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
- Managing pain and complex symptoms using evidence-based hospice practices
- Administering medications and treatments
- Responding to changes in patient condition and urgent clinical needs
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers about disease progression and symptom management
- Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and other team members
- Documenting care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Supporting patients and families with compassion during end-of-life care
- Promoting excellence in patient care while maintaining compliance with hospice regulations and professional nursing standards
Benefits
- Full-time, three 12-hour shifts each week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- $4.00/hour Night Shift Differential
- Additional $1.00/hour Weekend Differential (Applicable for shifts worked between Friday 7:00 PM and Monday 7:00 AM.)
