About The Position
The RN Inpatient Rehabilitation unit is a 25-bed unit staffed by a multidisciplinary team including RNs, NAs, Clinical Assistants, Therapists (PT, OT, SLP, Recreational), Social Work, Admission and Discharge Care Managers, Rehab Physicians, Residents, and Physician Assistants. The team collaborates to provide compassionate and extraordinary care to patients. The unit advocates for safe, quality, and excellent patient care experiences by partnering with patients, families, and the IPR team. The unit's slogan is “Don’t Stop Believing!”. Troy Hospital is recognized by US News & World Report for orthopedics and urological services and ranked #3 on Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list. It is a state-of-the-art center offering advanced specialty and routine care with a focus on patient satisfaction and medical advancement.
Requirements
- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care.
- Incorporates patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
- Provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.
- Recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
- Partners with and utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning the plan of care.
- Develops teaching strategies for patients/families.
- Documents education and learning appropriately in the health record.
