RN - Interventional Radiology
About The Position
Interventional Radiology utilizes minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers, and various others across the body. As an Interventional Radiology RN, you will assist physicians in performing advanced procedures by preparing patients, inserting IVs and monitoring patients. You will be working with critical and/or ill patients, so building rapport and trust with the patient and their family members is crucial. In this role, you can make a difference in the lives of everyone you meet, all while enhancing your nursing skills through extensive hands-on experience in a diversity of modalities. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 5:30PM or 6:30AM – 5:00PM, with on-call requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment based on the department service level RN is hired into
- One year of current critical care/Emergency Department RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
