About The Position

This role involves providing direct nursing care in the Interventional Radiology department. The Registered Nurse will follow established organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, and carry out physician and nursing orders. Key responsibilities include implementing and monitoring active care plans, tracking and reporting changes in patient condition, coordinating care across disciplines, and evaluating and coordinating patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
Previous cardiac experience needed

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care following established organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as taking down and carrying out physician and nursing orders.
Implement and monitor active care plans while keeping track of, recording, and sharing any changes in patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as the main coordinator across all disciplines to ensure seamless, well-managed patient care.
Evaluate and coordinate each patient's discharge planning needs alongside the rest of the healthcare team.
