As an RN on our team, you will use strong assessment and critical-thinking skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and ensure the best outcomes for every patient supporting our Cardiology SPECT/PET Imaging. In this role, you will assist with medication administration throughout the procedure, monitor the patient for ECG changes or instability, and recover the patient post procedure. You will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. You will also interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare information as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Two years of experience in Imaging
• Experience in interventional radiology

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
