About The Position

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is hiring a registered nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. The RN provides and coordinates patient care, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to support patients and their families physically and psychologically. The role includes patient assessments and reassessments, individualized care planning, medication administration, documentation, patient education, equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs.

The RN administers medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs, and provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring. The RN coordinates care across disciplines, records and communicates patient conditions using computerized documentation systems, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
• BLS certification.
• Must obtain ACLS within six months of hire or transfer from a non-ICU area.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• One to two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patients and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory care, ventilator management, and patient monitoring.
• Coordinate care among disciplines and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning with members of the healthcare team.
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Educate patients and families, maintain equipment properly, and document care.
