About The Position

This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) for an inpatient setting, working a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The role involves providing basic and skilled nursing care, setting priorities of care, and assessing intervention limits. Strong clinical expertise in critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and technical skills is essential. The nurse must be able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. A thorough understanding of the hospice philosophy, principles of death and dying, pain and symptom management, and adult teaching/learning principles is also required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Currently licensed as an RN through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience.
  • Working experience charting in an EMR system.
  • Possesses clinical expertise related to critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Possesses the ability to provide basic and skilled nursing care, set priorities of care, and appropriately assess limits of intervention.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding care issues.
  • Has the ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Must be CPR certified according to the American Heart Association CPR standards.
  • Understands the hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying, concepts of pain/symptom management, and adult teaching/learning principles.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in an acute setting preferred.
  • Netsmart system preferred.
