About The Position

This role is for an experienced RN who is ready to grow their leadership skills without giving up bedside nursing. Unlike traditional nursing leadership positions, Inpatient Supervisors remain actively engaged in patient care while serving as the clinical leader for their assigned shift. Working alongside a team of supervisors, they support unit operations, mentor staff, assist with patient flow and staffing decisions, and serve as a resource during complex clinical situations—all while maintaining a strong connection to bedside nursing. This position is perfect for experienced RNs seeking their first formal leadership role while remaining actively involved in bedside patient care. The Acute Care Unit (ACU) cares for a diverse medical population, providing nurses with broad clinical exposure and opportunities to develop advanced assessment, prioritization, and leadership skills. As an RN Supervisor on ACU, you'll support a highly collaborative team while helping coordinate care for patients with complex medical conditions and varying levels of acuity. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking, and mentoring newer team members while remaining actively involved in patient care. The Inpatient Supervisor role allows nurses to lead a shift while maintaining meaningful bedside involvement and clinical practice, build leadership experience, serve as a trusted clinical resource and mentor, gain experience with staffing, patient flow, operational decision-making, and quality outcomes, collaborate closely with unit leadership and physicians, and strengthen skills that prepare them for future nursing leadership opportunities. The role also allows for making a meaningful impact on team culture, employee engagement, and patient outcomes.

• Coordinating daily patient care operations and staffing activities.
