This team supports the entire organization by working alongside specialty nurses on individual units throughout Sanford’s three hospital locations in Fargo. Experienced and New Graduate RNs are encouraged to join this unique team! Resource Team registered nurses are hired to work a cluster of adult inpatient medical/surgical units and are cross-trained to other specialty areas. A premium is available for working with this dynamic, flexible team. A comprehensive orientation is given to each of the units where Resource Team staff are assigned. Experienced team members will have the opportunity to train to specialty roles that are exclusive to this team, including our Rescue Nurse (house float) or Vascular Access nurse roles. $10,000 Sign on bonus available with 2-year work commitment to Sanford Health!

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Currently holds an unencipumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborating with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrating competency and practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizing appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
  • Caring for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care.
  • Planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
  • Functioning within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
  • Adhering to the Sanford Professional Nursing Practice which recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
